Saint Michael the Archangel slaying the serpent statue. This famous depiction of Rafael's masterpiece has excellent detail. This piece was inspired by the book of Revelation. Also there are two popular versions. This version has Michael capturing the serpent. There is another version where Saint Michael is capturing the devil (and Angel). The reason for these two versions is in Revelation 20:1 – 2 the passage reads that Michael captures that old serpent which is the devil and Satan. So you will see two versions of this piece. They are both excellent pieces that remind us that there will be a time when Satan's rule will end.
